In-Kind Gifts Distribution Program 2024
Project Background & Humanitarian Crisis
For the displaced Rohingya population in Bangladesh, everyday essentials like clothing, bedding, and hygiene items are luxuries beyond reach. Families live in fragile shelters, and children grow up with minimal comfort or protection. In response, Helping Hand for Relief & Development (HHRD), USA, donated nine containers of essential in-kind goods to Jano Seba Kendra (JSK) for distribution among Rohingya refugees and vulnerable Bangladeshi communities. Each container carried a message of humanity and hope—filled with clothing, toys, bedding, shoes, medical supplies, household accessories, and educational items. JSK, following all procedural guidelines, completed the distribution across multiple camps and regions, ensuring that every item reached the most deserving hands. From children’s toys to winter blankets, and from hygiene kits to livelihood tools, the project transformed the daily lives of thousands. For many, it was the first time they had received such comfort in years.
“The warm clothes and school kits brought pure joy to our children. It was the first time in years they held brand-new gifts sent with love from abroad.”
